Music Week (1959-present) is a trade paper for the UK record industry.

This was the Spice Girls's first music press interview, which was done in Music Week with Paul Gorman, the contributing editor of music industry paper Music Week, at Virgin Records's London headquarters. The piece that Paul wrote on was to acknowledge and recognise that the Spice Girls were about to institute a change in the charts away from Britpop and towards out-and-out pop. He wrote:

"JUST WHEN BOYS with guitars threaten to rule pop life – Damon's all over Smash Hits, Ash are big in Big! and Liam can't move for tabloid frenzy – an all-girl, in-yer-face pop group have arrived with enough sass to burst that rockist bubble."

This seem to have made an impact on single, Wannabe, as it entered the UK Singles Chart at 3 before propelling on to the number 1 spot the week after and staying there for seven weeks.
